Personal Injury (single passenger): $25,000 in coverage for injury to an individual.

Personal Injury (multiple passengers): $50,000 in coverage for the driver and passengers in the car at the time of the accident.

Property Damage: $25,000 of minimum coverage.

Alabama Small Claims Limit: Car accident claims under $3,000 should be filed in Small Claims Court.

Alabama Personal Injury Statute of Limitations: The statute of limitations for personal injury claims in Alabama is 2 years from the date the injury occurred.

ALABAMA CAR ACCIDENT REPORTS

Alabama Police Reports: You can request a copy of a car accident report from the Alabama Department of Public Safety by completing an Alabama Request for Crash Report form online.

DMV: After a car accident, Alabama requires each driver to complete and submit a SR-13 Form with the Drivers License Division of the Alabama Department of Public Safety within 30 days of the accident if the accident involved more than $250 in property damage or resulted in injury or death.
