Attorney Answers San Bernardino County Car Accident QuestionI was in a car accident in San Bernardino county, California and I was not at fault. Can/should I sue for hit and run? I was driving in San Bernardino county, California when I was involved in a car accident. I was recently rear ended by a municipal bus and sustained minor damage to my rear bumper. The bus driver didn't stop to exchange information. I am positive the bus driver knew he had hit my vehicle! When I looked in my rear view mirror Immediately after being hit I could see no space/distance between the rear of my car and the front of the bus. If you are able to determine the actual bus that you hit you, you should report the incident to the police immediately so that they can conduct and investigation. This will save you some of the leg work. You may sue for your damages to your car and any pain and suffering from the car accident. It does not sound like you were injured, only your car. I suggest filing the claim in small claims court and seek the maximum amount to include pain and suffering and you can testify to your injuries. if you have medical bills, you should bring those to the court's attention.
