2008 - Insurance Bad Faith - $500,000.00 total settlement Our client was a handicapped veteran who was hit by a drunk driver. The drunk driver only had $10,000.00 in bodily injury coverage. We argued that the insurance company failed to properly tender the bodily injury limits, even though a demand was never made. The case settled before trial.
2008 - Wrongful Death - Automobile Accidents - Policy Limits from 5 Car Insurance Policies A 25 year old girl was crossing the street when she was run over by 5 cars. Each car blamed the other for causing our client's accidental death. We successfully argued that no expert could determine which vehicle caused the death and therefore each vehicle was equally responsible. The case settled before trial.
2007 - Wrongful Death - Automobile Accident - Over $1,000,000.00 Jason represented the family of a girl who was killed when the driver of the vehicle she was in lost control and crashed into a wall. The insurance company indicated that they were going to deny the claim based on the family member exclusion in the policy. The case was settled after we were able to prove the girl's residence.
2005 - Wrongful Death - Auto Accidents - Pro Bono Jason recovered the policy limits of a commercial tractor trailer for the children of a single mother who was killed when the tractor trailer cut in front of her. The children also sustained serious injuries requiring surgery. Jason also prepared and successfully argued an emergency petition for custody for the maternal grandmother so the children were not placed in foster care. Jason waived his fees and costs for both cases.
2008 - Crime Victim's Rights - Molestation - Confidential Settlement Jason obtained a substantial settlement for a girl who was molested by her father over a period of several years. After the father was ordered to stay away from our client, the paternal grandfather allowed the father to have access to the child during babysitting nights. We argued that the grandfather and the father were both responsible for allowing the molestations to occur. The insurance company agreed and settled before trial.
2007 - Crime Victim's Rights - Molestation - Confidential Settlement After the molester was found NOT GUILTY at trial, Jason pursued a civil claim on behalf of a severely autistic girl who was found in the storage closet with the school's janitor. The 911 tape revealed that a teacher found the janitor with his hands in the pants of the young girl. After reviewing the tape, the school settled this claim.
2006 - Crime Victim's Rights - Molestation - Homeowner's policy limits Jason successfully represented a young girl who was victimized by a family friend. The family never knew that the friend had a violent past. He previously spent time in jail for child molestation-related charges. The friend's parents, who shared the house with the molester, knew about this past and never told our clients. Jason argued that their failure to warn our clients of their son's violent past amounted to negligence.
Car Accident Claims Jason has settled over 1,000 car accident claims, including those resulting in wrongful death, serious fractures, coma, brain damage, whiplash, disc herniations, disc bulging and soft tissue injuries.
2008 - Automobile Accident - $100,000.00 Jason's client had steroid injections following a car accident to help relieve her neck and back pain. The insurance company tried to argue that the injuries were not caused by the accident and were degenerative.
2007 - Automobile Accident - $100,000.00 After complaining of neck pain following a low impact accident, Jason's client underwent epidural steroid injections. The case settled for the insurance policy limits.
Premises Liability Claims Jason has settled over 500 premises liability claims, including those involving slip and falls, trip and falls, product liability, manufacturing defects, assault and battery, dog bites, molestation, rape, murder, homicide. The cases his office handles range from catastrophic injuries and wrongful death, to fractures, coma, brain damage, whiplash, disc herniations, disc bulging and soft tissue injuries.
2007 - Drunk Driving and Dram Shop - Confidential Settlement Jason successfully represented a young handicapped man who was driving his handicapped accessible van one night and was struck head-on by a drunk driver. The drunk driver's vehicle blew up, killing both the driver and his passenger. Our client was in a coma for several months and sustained brain damage. A confidential settlement was reached.
2006 - Drunk Driving and Dram Shop - Confidential Settlement Jason represented the family of a young man who was killed as a passenger in a car driven by a drunk driver. The family pursued a claim against the drunk driver and the nightclub, which served all of the vehicle patrons. Since two of the passengers were under 21, including the boy who was killed, Jason was able to successfully pursue a claim under Florida's dram shop law against the nightclub for knowingly serving an underage customer alcohol.

A cruise ship passenger sustained neck and back injuries after he slipped and fell on a drink that was spilled on the floor of his cabin by room service. Despite repeated demands for the ship to clean the area, they failed to do so. The cruise ship settled this claim before trial. 2008 - Cruise Ship Injury - Confidential Settlement
Cruise Ship Claims Jason has settled claims brought against the major cruise ships, including Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Discovery Cruises. Claims include slip and fall on food in the dining halls, fall downs from automatic doors improperly closing, trip and fall over poorly designed steps and staircases, and many other slip and fall claims. Injuries sustained by his clients include fractures, surgery cases, sprain and strain, lacerations, cuts and bruises, and most other injuries. Of the several cruise ship injury cases Jason has handled, we listed just a few examples.
2008 - Cruise Ship Injury - All Medical Bills covered + Money for Pain & Suffering Jason's client sustained neck and back sprains and strains after slipping on a wet floor on a cruise. The case settled pre-suit, before a lawsuit was filed.
2007 - Cruise Ship Injury - $100,000.00 One of Jason's clients received a $100,000.00 settlement after he hurt his knee after a slip and fall by the pool area. The pool area had an unreasonable amount of lotion buildup which created a very slick surface on the ground.
2006 - Cruise Ship Injury - Confidential Settlement Jason successfully represented a cruise ship passenger who was injured when he slipped and fell on a large puddle of water near the pool deck. Improper drainage and poor design caused water to overflow onto the pool deck surface. The case was settled prior to mediation.
2005 - Cruise Ship Injury - Confidential Settlement After drinking a frozen drink with shards of glass blended in it, a young lady on her honeymoon contacted Jason for help. After investigation, Jason found that the cruise ship bartender used another glass as an ice scooper and accidentally broke the glass in the ice bucket. The bartender then scooped the ice and glass mixture into a blender and served our client the dangerous cocktail. The case was amicably settled immediately after the lawsuit was filed.
