It’s also important to know whether suing the manufacturer affects whether you can submit a claim to your insurance company. According to Morrison, “You are not barred in this instance. However, you need to make sure that you involve the attorney pursuing the manufacture in all stages because it can affect where you can bring the lawsuit and how you can bring the lawsuit. It doesn’t necessarily bar pursuing the insurance carrier, but that’s a question that’s going to be dependant upon the state and the circumstances.
