About the Attorney :
After graduating from the University of Miami School of Law, Jason Pollack began his legal career as a contract employee with Florida Power & Light in the Regulatory Affairs division, where he acted as a liaison between the regulatory accountants and the legal departments in preparation for the 2005 filing of FPL's general request to increase rates in front of the Public Service Commission (PSC). Through his employment, Mr. Pollack assisted with the preparation of testimony and the discovery process as the case progressed to hearing in front of the PSC. Following this employment, Mr. Pollack joined the Office of the Attorney General of Florida as an Assistant Attorney General in the Capital Collateral division of Criminal Appeals, where he was assigned to defend the convictions of individuals sitting on Death Row. Through this position, Mr. Pollack litigated the appeals on behalf of the State of Florida in many of these high-profile cases. While in law school, Mr. Pollack was an active member of the H.O.P.E. Pro Bono Resource Center at the University of Miami School of Law. Through the Center, Mr. Pollack worked on numerous public service projects benefitting communities throughout South Florida. Post-graduation, this commitment to public service continues, as Mr. Pollack is still active within the Center.
