About the Attorney :
Debra Lyn Scott began working in the area of estate planning in 1995 and opened The Scott Practice in the Spring of 2000. Ms. Scott received her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Riverside. Debra Lyn Scott is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is a former Board Member of the Elder Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. Debra Lyn Scott has served on many bar committees and has been a member of the Georgia Planned Giving Council; the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils; the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers. Ms. Scott has also appeared as the 2001 legal advisor for “I Do” Magazine, and has lectured and written articles in the area of estate planning for organizations and newsletters throughout the Atlanta area.
