Our client was a handicapped veteran who was hit by a drunk driver. The drunk driver only had $10,000.00 in bodily injury coverage. We argued that the insurance company failed to properly tender the bodily injury limits, even though a demand was never made. The case settled before trial.
2008 - Wrongful Death - Automobile Accidents - Policy Limits from 5 Car Insurance Policies
A 25 year old girl was crossing the street when she was run over by 5 cars. Each car blamed the other for causing our client's accidental death. We successfully argued that no expert could determine which vehicle caused the death and therefore each vehicle was equally responsible. The case settled before trial.
2007 - Wrongful Death - Automobile Accident - Over $1,000,000.00
Jason represented the family of a girl who was killed when the driver of the vehicle she was in lost control and crashed into a wall. The insurance company indicated that they were going to deny the claim based on the family member exclusion in the policy. The case was settled after we were able to prove the girl's residence.
2005 - Wrongful Death - Auto Accidents - Pro Bono
Jason recovered the policy limits of a commercial tractor trailer for the children of a single mother who was killed when the tractor trailer cut in front of her. The children also sustained serious injuries requiring surgery. Jason also prepared and successfully argued an emergency petition for custody for the maternal grandmother so the children were not placed in foster care. Jason waived his fees and costs for both cases.
2008 - Crime Victim's Rights - Molestation - Confidential Settlement
Jason obtained a substantial settlement for a girl who was molested by her father over a period of several years. After the father was ordered to stay away from our client, the paternal grandfather allowed the father to have access to the child during babysitting nights. We argued that the grandfather and the father were both responsible for allowing the molestations to occur. The insurance company agreed and settled before trial.
2007 - Crime Victim's Rights - Molestation - Confidential Settlement
After the molester was found NOT GUILTY at trial, Jason pursued a civil claim on behalf of a severely autistic girl who was found in the storage closet with the school's janitor. The 911 tape revealed that a teacher found the janitor with his hands in the pants of the young girl. After reviewing the tape, the school settled this claim.
2006 - Crime Victim's Rights - Molestation - Homeowner's policy limits
Jason successfully represented a young girl who was victimized by a family friend. The family never knew that the friend had a violent past. He previously spent time in jail for child molestation-related charges. The friend's parents, who shared the house with the molester, knew about this past and never told our clients. Jason argued that their failure to warn our clients of their son's violent past amounted to negligence.

Jason settled a claim for a movie theater patron who sustained a torn meniscus requiring surgery after she slipped and fell on food which was left on the floor from prior patrons. The movie theater had a duty to clean and maintain their theater. Jason argued that they failed to conduct proper maintenance and was able to recover a settlement for his client.

Jason has settled claims brought against the major cruise ships, including Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Discovery Cruises. After drinking a frozen drink with shards of glass blended in it, a young lady on her honeymoon contacted Jason for help. After investigation, Jason found that the cruise ship bartender used another glass as an ice scooper and accidentally broke the glass in the ice bucket. The bartender then scooped the ice and glass mixture into a blender and served our client the dangerous cocktail. The case was amicably settled immediately after the lawsuit was filed.
