The daughter needs to immediately file for divorce and hire a lawyer so that she can make sure that she receives alimony payments and child support.  The husband may not be able to be served and sued while over seas if he is not in the states.  In other words, the daughter may have to spend some time living with the grandparents until he returns and then file for a divorce.  This is an unfortunate situation to be in and the daughter needs to make sure to hire a lawyer that will make sure that she is taken care of.  Regardless of the fact that the husband does not have a car or truck is irrelevant to what he will pay.  The husband will be required to pay a portion of his check to his wife for child support and alimony.
