Arrested for extreme DUI, felony flight, possession of marijuana but was ot givena court date, what do I do??

Question Details:I was arrested for extreme DUI, possession of marijuana, and felony flight. Upon my release that night, I was not issued a ticket stating my charges or my court date. Should I call the police department to obtain this information or will I be seeing something in the mail? If I should call, should I do it ASAP? Is there any chance the case may be dismissed do to the formality that I was not given a copy of the citation?

It isn't at all unusual for this to happen;  you should be thankful that they didn't decide to hold you until all the paperwork was done, which can also happen.  You might get the charges in the mail.  If there's a real felony charge, in the opinion of the prosecutor, he might take your case to the grand jury, some time in the next month or two, and get an indictment, in which case you might be arrested again, in order to have you arraigned on the indictment.

Don't wait for the charges, however they end up getting served.  You've got serious trouble here, and you need a lawyer, and the sooner you have one on board, the better.
