Can I sue my employer if I was attacked at work?

Question Details:I work at a group home and a man attacked me and gave me a concusion and told my boss about it; my boss did nothing. Then, the next day I was attacked again and the man put me in the hospital. What can I do about it?

First, you should call the police.

Second, if this man is either a resident at the home or another employee, you may be able to sue the home/your employer for your medical costs and damages. The employer is clearly not taking the correct steps to safeguard its employees.
