City bus side-swiped my girlfriend's car, what do we do?

Question Details:My girlfriend's car was parked legally on the street, a city bus sideswiped it at night, to fix all damages it cost over $3500 and the city buses insurance is sending her a $2000 check.

Before you cash that check, consult an attorney in your area. The attorney, after reviewing your case, can determine if the insurance company is offering you a reasonable amount. You can also decide whether or not you want to pursue a lawsuit. Keep in mind that insurance companies try to settle for the least amount of money. However, if you are satisfied with the $2000, then you can accept the check and give up your right to sue.
