Question Details:I am being called to the stand to testify with information that can possibly lead to an answer in a murder case. I preferably do not want to be involved but its too late now.
You may want to confer with an attorney. There are really two key things for you to understand:
1) lying is perjury and you can go to jail and be fined;
2) If an answer to any question might incriminate yourself, then you have a right under the 5th amendment not to answer. You would state, "I have to invoke my 5th amendment with regard to that question."
Best of luck.
