It would be advisable to have a personal injury attorney represent you and contact the insurance company.  Factors which will determine the amount of your compensation include the medical report(s) from the doctor(s) who have provided treatment, your medical bills, any lost wages, transportation based on mileage to the doctor and the number of visits to the doctor.  Compensation for pain and suffering would be based on your injuries and the permanent scars.  The information in the medical records/reports will determine how much compensation to request for pain and suffering.  If the medical reports indicate that future medical treatment is necessary, the estimated cost of that treatment should also be included in the amount you are seeking to recover from the insurance company.
