Warrant for failure to pay a speeding ticket?

Question Details:I failed to pay a speeding ticket in Los Angeles. I received a yellow notice saying that my license is suspended. Will I receive a warrant for my arrest? Can I still travel by plane and get a marriage license if my license is suspended? I'm going for a vacation to London, so would I be able to?

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  You ability to operate a car is the only thing that you are prevented from doing legally.  A valid driver's license is not required for travelling or getting married.  I suggest that you  try to go to the DMV and pay the reinstatement fees to get your license back in good standing as you will be arrested if you are caught driver a car.  Presently, you are not going to be arrested.  You need to get your license reinstated.
