How can I keep an Intoxication in public charge off my record?

Question Details:Can I get community service or probation? What do I say to the judge at my hearing? I was told that diversion was not an option for my charge at my 1st hearing. I was picked up outside a friend's farm an spent night in holding.

The best way to not geta conviction for an intoxication in public charge is to consult with a criminal defense attorney for defense. One possibility is to work a plea deal with the district attorney's office where you are on court probation for a certain period of time and if you complete the probation, then the charge will be dismissed.

States take DUI and DWI very seriously these days.  I think that your best bet would be to hire an attorney to defend you in the matter as soon as you can.  If your state charges same as a misdemeanor then it will appear on your record.  If they charge it as a violation then it will probably not.  An attorney can make sure that you get the best deal for the ofense.  Good luck.
