I am a lawyer in CT and Practice in this area of the law.  You claim is against your insurance carrier (uninsured claim).  The statute of limitations for motor vehicle accidents is 2 years.  however, the claim against your carrier is a contract claim and governed by a 6 year statute of limitations.  Nevertheless, you are well within the SOL.  you should hire a lawyer and file a claim against the driver at fault and place your  insurance company on notice of the claim.  Act fast!
