What to do for partnership theft?

Question Details:I have a partner who stole in excess of 15,000 cash from me. He admits to it. Can I go to small claims? What do I do? Do I have legal recourse?

You definitely have legal recourse for this.  And your case is made all the more stronger by your partner's admission.  However, in Nevada you can only bring cases for up to $5,000 in small claims court.  You will have to hire an attorney to help you with this.  You can refer to: www.AttorneyPages.com.

If money is an issue, check if there is a law school nearby to where you live; they typically run free/low cost clinics that handle these type cases.  Also, contact the local Bar Association in your county; they may have a list of attorneys who will take your case "pro bono" (for free) or at least for a reduced fee based on your income/circumstances.
