Question Details:I reported to Section 8 and the landlord told Section 8 they couldn't afford to fix this issue. Section 8 has to make me move. I am unemployed and this will cause a major hardship for my family.

Under the laws of all states in this country a landlord is required to provide his or her tenants habitable and safe living conditions. If the landlord refuses to have the mold issues remediated at your rental, you need to consult with your contact person with the section 8 housing authority with respect to the mold issue you are writing about.

The representative will require the mold remediation by the landlord or he/she will lose the section 8 housing status for the rental.
