I was arrested in my own backyard playing games with 3 other people.

Question Details:The cops came and arrested us for public intoxication, contributing to a minor, obstructing justice (because I didn't know where one of the persons went) and disorderly conduct. I have never been arrested before. What can I do to get the least amount of charges on me?

Hire a lawyer.  Getting you through a criminal case to an acquittal, or the lightest possible sentence on whatever charges you are found guilty of, all of this is what a criminal defense attorney does for a living.  I can't very well explain to you what a lawyer learns, in several relevant law school courses and years of in-court experience, in a setting like this.

And I think it would be worth it, here, because I've never heard of anyone being arrested for public intoxication in his own back yard.  Your clean record is also very important to protect.
