If I have a failure to appear for a traffic citation, will I have trouble traveling internationally?

Question Details:I believe I may have a warrant for a traffic incident that happened back on 03/09/2005. I got a print out from the DMV that shows 2 citations - failure to appear and a traffic citation. My issue is, I leave for France tomorrow evening. I am worried that I will have problems leaving or returning to the US. I just need to know what will happen.

Well, if you have a warrant for your arrest and you are caught leaving the country, you may be detained. Why in the world would you review your print out and still take a chance in leaving?

Why did you skip your court date or not pay your traffic citation?
