Question Details:I had my brows waxed (which I always do just not at this location) and it was the most painful I've ever had. I left with burning, red, and in pain above my brows; below my brows to the middle of my eyelid; and across my forehead. My co-workers were all trying to find burn medication for me because it looked so bad. I couldn't even touch my eyes until Sun the first night the burns swelled w/ fluid (as if I had been burned with an iron). I have pictures and a video taken by my co-worker When I went back to the salon on Mon to show them what they had done, the store manager said it happened 3x's before. What are my options?
You should see an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) and possibly a dermatologist (skin specialist) for medical treatment in order to determine the nature and extent of your injuries. After completing medical treatment, you would want to obtain the medical reports and medical bills to document your injuries. The information in the medical reports will be crucial in determining the amount of compensation to request for pain and suffering. For example, are there permanent scars or other residual problems as a result of your injury.
Apart from pain and suffering, compensation for your injuries would also include your medical bills, transportation based on mileage to the doctor and the number of visits to the doctor, and any wage loss.
Prior to completing medical treatment and obtaining the above information, it would be premature to attempt to settle the case.
