Starting a business and need legal advice.

Question Details:Should I register a fictitious name first and then the LLC registration. Or will the LLC cover both? The name of the LLC will also be the name of the cafe. Since I'm early in the stage of the business plan and have no specific address for the cafe yet will my home address work since I'm the owner and partner/manager of the cafe in the LLC setup? Or do I have to actually wait and sign a lease to have the business address exactly as to where it is operating? And once the LLC is setup can we add additional partners/members into it or do all the members must be set before it's registered?

1) You can use the same name for the cafe as for the LLC, or use different names. What ever name(s) you like, you should try to register and protect as soon as possible.

2) You can use your home address as the LLC's mailing address and formation address. It does not need to be the same as the cafe's address.

3) You can add members/partners to an LLC. You would do so by selling or granting them part of your interest.
