Attorney's Response to Criminal Question from MiamiYou need to come clean. There is no way to make a warrent for violating probation just go away. It is going to follow you and haunt you until you deal with it head on. You need to get a local defense attorney in Miami, Florida who can help you deal with the Florida courts, negotiate on your behalf, etc., but essentially, you are going to need to turn yourself in while explaining the circumstances. What happens then depends upon those circumstances, but staying out of trouble for two years would certainly be a mark in your favor. And generally speaking, coming in or surrendering voluntarily is also a mark in your favor. The alternative to dealing with the warrant and facing whatever consequences come your way is to keep living in hiding, looking over you shoulder, unable to exercise all the rights that other people do. But again, this is the sort of thing defense attorneys are there for. Find one that you trust and let him or her guide you through the process and help speak for you.
