Attorney Profile

David Katz, one of the founding partners of Katz & Hidock, is a former Assistant State Attorney. He has prosecuted cases in both Orange and Seminole Counties. He is also the former DUI / INTOXILYZER Specialist with the Seminole County State Attorney’s Office.

During his career, he was chosen by Florida Prosecuting Attorney’s Association to teach TRIAL SKILLS to new prosecutors statewide. He was involved in the prosecution and defense of thousands of cases. Including hundreds of DUI cases. His position as Intoxilyzer Specialist gave him unique training and experience with the Intoxilyzer 8000 including access to the manufacturer of the device, which he now uses to aid in the defense of DUI cases.
