I have been fired from my job due to my chronic illness, do I have any legal recourse?

Question Details:

I was fired from my job, with no notice, for missing work when I clearly informed them at the time of my hire that I have severe to moderate Chrons Disease. They moved me from a busier shop to to relatively slower one and I was told it was to improve sales at the shop that I was moved to. I succeeded in doing so and have had no problems with the quality of my work which leads me to believe the sole reason of my termination is due to my missing work because of my illness.
